Classroom Teacher:

Classroom teachers are responsible for creating and carrying out lesson plans in a specific curriculum area in a fun, camp-friendly way.  Classes offered @ Camp CUBBER are intended to be educational while still feeling fun and not “school-like”.  Classroom teachers will see multiple groups of the same age / grade level throughout the day each day, doing the same project / lesson with each group.  Classroom teachers work approximately 30 hours per week.  Schedules are usually around the 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM time frame.

Classes include:

Art

Basic art for campers to include various forms of painting, drawing, coloring, sculpting, craft making, and more.

Music and Drama

Music and Drama is only offered as a class to our younger campers (K-1st and 2nd-3rd).  This class is designed to hopefully give campers an introduction to music and music fundamentals, begin developing a love for music, and help them learn some of the basics of acting and dramatic play.  The classroom teacher for music and drama will also help each group develop a presentation for the camp talent showcase.

Sports and Rec.

Every camper needs the opportunity to get out and PLAY.  Sports and Rec. provides that while simultaneously working on campers ability to work / play as a team and develop good sportsmanship.  Sports and Rec. is similar to what campers would experience during the school year in physical ed.
